The enthusiasm and optimism never fail to shine through from Yoke Ching, a girl who changes hair colors like a person might switch channels. But, look beyond her highlights and red-dyed hair, you find a girl who is a visionary, one who dreams big and yet makes those dreams that initially seemed far-fetched happen; Nellie, a girl so tall that she towers over some other boys, is a gangly history nerd who has a penchant for shooting sarcastic remarks and shows no fear of standing up to the injustice she sees around her.  She has the tendency to bring everyone back down to earth with her more realistic approaches. Yee Jie, one the other hand, cracks lame jokes that could even make Zeus cry. Lames jokes aside, he is intimidating when it comes to debating for he can spell out all the facts ranging from history to general news in bullet speed  that he always leaves people’s jaw drop.  Khai Ren is another quirky guy that can play around with his emotions well. He can shed his tears the moment he is reciting the most touching part of a poem.   Being a quick witted person, he can non-talk that people will always look for him to emcee for their events so as to liven up the atmosphere. He is the one who knows just when we need to get serious.

That’s how our team works – idealism tinged with realism, matured without lacking of youthful energy, focused yet laid-back at the same time. To outsiders, we may seem like a mismatched team that probably wouldn’t last 5 minutes without having conflicts, but unfounded claims like these couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, our similar passion for business studies was what drew us together in the first place. We may not have the most experience in dealing with business but we believe that with the different perspectives each of us can offer, we would be able to cross over our boundaries.

We are the gust of cold wind that soothes in the blistering heat of a mid-day afternoon; we are the flash of light that cuts through the abyss of darkness; we are the slice of lime perched on the tip of your glass of tea; we are the energy that this contest needs, we are fresh and unique, and with all we have, Rubicon will have the greatest diversity ever. A fresh look is what is exactly what Rubicon needs, and we are the team that offer that.
